This diploma thesis focuses on development of managerial competencies of manager‘s personality in the business environment. This work is divided into two main parts. The first, theoretical, includes theory and introduces basic terms. The second, practical, consists of two sub-parts: analytical, in which I analyse the situation and explore the problems, in the second sub-part I present a concept of my own solution.
Journalistic autonomy as a part of the professional identity of journalists

The master's thesis deals with journalistic autonomy as one of the principles of free press and as a key component of the professional identity of journalists. On an ideological level, the journalistic autonomy should ensure the free publication of information without political, economic, owner or any other kind of pressure. The main goal of the thesis is to verify how journalists themselves perceive their autonomy. In addition to developing basic theoretical concepts, the work builds on already implemented Czech and international empirical studies investigating journalistic autonomy. At the same time, it relies on some statements of media experts who criticize the current state of journalism and talk about the gradual weakening of journalistic autonomy in liberal-democratic systems, which results in fragmentation of the journalistic field, the profession declain and the growth of distrust in democratic media. The thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews with journalists working at the Economia publishing house showed how they currently perceive their professional autonomy and what factors most influence them in the performance of their profession. The interviews revealed that it is not so much about visible political influences or obvious pressures from the owner or external organizations....
Importance of personal relations in social work

The diploma thesis is dealing with the relationality of persons and its importance for social work. In the first part of this thesis, the topic focuses on the philosophical understanding of the concept of person, relationality and where the need to establish relationships is formed. Philosophical insights are applied throughout the thesis through defining relationship in social work, in which relationship is taken as a tool for helping. Thus, the thesis aims to note the importance of relationship in social work, aiming to highlight the interconnectedness of the personal relationship with the professionalism of the social worker. The final part of the thesis is devoted to practical experience in a Low Threshold Clubs for children and teenagers, in which the practical experience will be reflected upon by means of the theoretical theses identified, thus evaluating the personal relationship with the boundaries of professionalism.
Tension between professionalism and service of love in social work.

This bachelor thesis delves into the tension between professionalism and service out of love in social work. Theoretical part describes the evolution of social work from present time, and at the same time characterizes contemporary social work and the profession of social worker. It also focuses on the term "professionalism" in social work and love as viewed by Erich Fromm and Viktor E. Frankl. Practical part concentrates on qualitative research with the goal of mapping ideas of social workers from chosen areas of social work based on interview coding. Participants were four social workers from the area of social affairs and from a crisis center. The final analysis of acquired data has shown that social workers do not perceive the relation between professionalism and service out of love as tension, but rather as complementary.
Self-development of teachers as a basic premise of preparedness for a profession

This thesis follows the bachelor thesis ,,Gestalt therapy and its use in education" and deals with self-development of teachers as a basic premise for preparedness for the profession. It describes very complicated concept self-development of teacher itself, then it discusses the issues of teaching quality and professionalism, where the thesis again emphasizes self-development as a way of transition from semiprofession to profession. It contemplates the necessity of self-development due to the rapid changes in today's society and thus increasing demands on the personality of the teacher. This thesis is based on the belief in the importance of self-development of teachers mainly in social and personal qualities, it asks whether these qualitites are sufficiently developed in the pregraduate teacher's education and if the offer of further education is sufficient for today's teachers. A short chapter is devoted to the burnout syndrom. Empirical probe aims to validate the conclusions and research of the theoretical part. The chosen method for the probe is questionnaire for primary school teachers. There is a list of centers that provide teacher training in the end of the thesis.

Víra a morální hodnoty sociálního pracovníka v pomáhajících profesích Faith and moral values of social workers in the helping professions Michaela Fiedlerová This bachelor's thesis focuses on the role of faith and values in social work, highlights areas where religion and spirituality are already firmly in place and also reveals the dark side of religiosity and crisis situations arising trough involvement ones worldview into the relationship between social worker - whatever party worker or client is believer. The paper endeavors to answer the question whether and, if so, to what extent can social worker affect the service to his religious beliefs. Pitfall of religiosity in social work lies in the fact that the social worker can access to his task as a religious mission, more or less consciously can put pressure on the client (or colleagues) to accept his understanding of the world, to profess the s ame values and even in the same manner. The social worker has considerable power over the client, legitimate one, arising from his position, expert power and especially power resulting from source control. Matúš Frančiak - Inside the glass pyramid of professionalism: Gender, age and nationality in professionalism in financial shared services centers Abstract Shared service center are globally popular phenomenon providing jobs to tens of thousands of Czech residents. This thesis analyses financial shared service centers in Brno using the optics of gender as primary signifier of power and professionalism as disciplinary mechanism. The thesis understands shared service centers as a dynamic outcome of intracompany power struggles influenced by gender and national discourses. Centers transform more complex and masculine work into fragmented feminine tasks and hereby contribute to wider changes in world of work. Shared service centers structured by professionalism construct ideal work subjectivity. This subjectivity corresponds to young, Czechoslovak femininity without nonoccupational bonds. Her own interests overlap with those of company. Managements of centers represent grey area whose discipline is less transparent despite of its significant influence on functioning of shared service centers. Involvment of primary school's directors in local politics

This master's thesis will try to explore the views of head teachers on their involvement in specific level of government and politics. The theoretical chapter will cover the management of the Czech school with emphasis on the changes of expectations (societal and political) on head teachers and a political influence of the regional's level on this head position and their two-way relation. The research chapters analyses and compares the statements of head teachers involved in local politics with the statements of those, who are not involved. The main sources were in-depth interviews lead by the author of this thesis with several head teachers, it is therefore based on qualitative research which is attempting to get to the core of the origin of their views on this topic. The point is to analyse (based on interviews with head teachers of the elementary schools) how can an involvement in politics endanger their career, the school itself or its reputation. The thesis will also mention whether the public has the right to be involved in head teacher's political career and if it is appropriate to discuss head teacher's political views with students. Music online journalism: iReport and Musicserver websites and application of theoretical concepts of journalism

The diploma thesis describes the application of theoretical concepts of journalism into the environemnt of two most popular music websites Musicserver and iREPORT. In the theoretical basis for the topic are featured the basic characteristics of online journalism and the problematic nature of the term "ideal critic". Furthermore, there are at first theoretically established and afterwards analyzed the concepts of agenda-setting, gatekeeping, objectivity and bias, participative journalism, user generatec content, professionalism, hypertextuality and intertextuality, the usage of social networks, tabloidization and the analysis will also touch upon the issue of name transformation to fit the Czech language. There is also a semiotic and visual analysis of chosen samples performed. On the basis of concepts, the paper intends to explain the functioning of the websites, the aspects that are influencing their content, the factors that have an effect on the selection of the content, the means of working with the audience, the problems in terms of objectivity in the art criticism, the requirements laid upon the editorial staff members and the level of influence upon the readers.
